Encountering Christ at the Well, the Light, and the Tomb with Father Ben Berinti
“What might living a sanctified life mean for us in practical terms? As we hold, lift and drink the Cup of Sanctification, what a difference might it bring about in our living, our choosing, our presuming, our hoping and our praying.” — Fr. Ben Berinti
3 Day Mission: March 1st, 2nd and 3rd at 6:00pm in the church
2 Day Shortened Lenten Presentation: March 2nd and 3rd after the 9:00am Mass
This Lent, you are invited to a parish mission that draws us first to the well—where Christ meets us in our thirst—and then to the table, where He fulfills His promise of freedom. Voices of the Season invites us to walk honestly with Christ, to recognize our own stories within the Gospel, and to listen for God’s voice guiding us along our personal journey of faith.
In His encounter with the Woman at the Well, Jesus asks for a drink, yet reveals Himself as the One who alone can satisfy the deepest longings of the human heart. In a beautiful parallel, the Cup of Sanctification, the first cup of the Passover Seder, recalls God’s saving deliverance and His call to set His people apart for Himself. Together, these sacred moments proclaim a profound truth: Christ is the Living Water who sanctifies, heals, and restores.
Three Evenings. Three Gospel Encounters. One Transforming Journey.
· Evening One – “Give Me a Drink” – Based on the Woman at the Well (John 4) — Come to the well where Jesus meets us in our thirst—for meaning, mercy, and new life—and reveals Himself as the Living Water who alone can satisfy the heart.
· Evening Two – “Open Your Eyes” – Based on the Man Born Blind (John 9) — Encounter Christ the Light of the world, who opens our eyes to truth, restores our vision, and calls us out of spiritual blindness into faith.
· Evening Three – “Lazarus, Come Out” – Based on the Raising of Lazarus (John 11) — Hear the voice of Jesus calling us out of the tombs of fear, sin, and despair into new life, freedom, and hope.
Come with your questions. Come with your longing.
Come and drink deeply from the well that never runs dry.
All are welcome.
