A Liturgical Minister is simply being involved with or assisting with the Mass. While the priest is the presider of the liturgy, it is a community effort by the faithful to assist in facilitating the Mass. Proclaiming The Word, distribution of Holy Communion, setting the Altar, greeting and assisting parishioners find a seat, decorating the church and assisting the priest at the Altar are all ways that a “lay person” (non-ordained people in the parish) can participate in Liturgical Ministry.

Liturgical Minister Interest

Thank you for taking the time to share with us about your desire to answer God’s calling of service through the liturgies celebrated at St. Anastasia Catholic Church. Liturgical ministry flows as a response to one’s own lived faith, and so liturgical ministers are called to be strong witnesses to Jesus Christ and the moral life of the Church every hour of every day. To let us know about your desire to serve, please answer the following to the best of your ability and click ‘submit’ at the bottom of this form to send us your request. We will respond to your request as soon as we are able. Please note that submitting this information does not automatically enroll one for liturgical ministry. We will contact you according to the information provided above to engage in a discernment process. Thank you for your willingness, prayer and witness. Please be sure to check the ‘I’m not a robot’ box (if it appears) and click ‘Submit’ below to submit your information.
