Funeral Planning and Information
We realize that arranging a funeral is never easy. Our professional music staff, hope to bring comfort and assistance to you during this time of need. At your leisure, please consider the following information and contact us with any questions or concerns you may have.
The Director of Music will be happy to choose any or all of the music if you so desire. Please assist in that process by indicating if you would like more traditional songs and/or contemporary songs. The use of secular music (music not written for use in a sacred liturgy) is not permitted. All music must be suited for the Mass — the highest form of prayer the church offers. If you have any questions, the Director of Music, Peter Morin, will be available to help you with your selections.
Special Notation: In keeping with musical and liturgical guidelines set by the Diocese of St. Augustine, the usage of pre-recorded tapes or CDs is not permitted whether for music before the Mass, or to accompany any vocalist.
Please Note: All recordings below use musicians and instruments from St. Anastasia Catholic Church. The recordings are used for families selecting music for a particular celebration, and therefore, educational in nature. The recordings are not for sale or distribution. If you would like additional information about purchasing some of this music, we can direct you to sources.
