Mission Statement Respect Life Committee of St. Anastasia Catholic Church: The Respect Life Committee of Saint Anastasia Catholic Church serves all the people of God by promoting the truth that all human life is sacred. We are committed to the protection of life, which is threatened in today’s world by abortion, euthanasia, capital punishment, poverty, racism, and war. We believe that these issues are linked under a ‘consistent ethic of life’. We challenge everyone to maintain a cooperative spirit of peace, reconciliation, and respect in protecting the unprotected. The Committee shall always be witness to this truth: that all human life is precious and that human dignity must always be maintained by the promotion of life issues from conception to natural death. Following the United States Catholic Conference of Bishops “Pastoral Guide for Pro-Life Activities”, the Committee meets these obligations by prayer and orderly and peaceful means. The Respect Life Committee of St. Anastasia Catholic endorses and hereby adopts this updated mission statement this 4th day of September 2013.
