The Sacrament of Confirmation is a significant rite in the Catholic faith. It is considered one of the three sacraments of initiation, alongside Baptism and the Eucharist. Confirmation is the sacrament when an individual receives the seven gifts of the Holy Spirit: wisdom, understanding, counsel, fortitude, knowledge, piety, and awe of the Lord. This sacrament strengthens and deepens the grace received at Baptism, empowering the confirmed to live a mature Christian life. Confirmation marks a spiritual maturity, encouraging individuals to actively participate in their faith community and bear witness to their beliefs in everyday life.
2026 Confirmation registration packet will be available Summer 2025. If you have questions about Youth Confirmation, please contact Denise Pressley in the parish office.
“Confirmation perfects Baptismal grace; it is the sacrament which gives the Holy Spirit, incorporates us more firmly into Christ, strengthens our bond with the Church, associates us more closely with her mission, and helps us bear witness to the Christian faith in words accompanied by deeds.” (CCC 1316)
