“Jesus said, ‘Let the children come to me, and do not prevent them; for the kingdom of heaven belongs to such as these.'” – Matthew 19:14

This is a program for children in grades Pre-K through 3rd grade during the 10:30 a.m. Mass on Sundays. The Children’s Liturgy of The Word helps young children relate to the Mass at their own level. The children explore the Readings, the Responsorial Psalm, the Gospel and the Homily using a Children’s Lectionary for The Masses. The children also take part in singing, Profession of Faith, and Prayers of the Faithful. This is a fun way to learn and praise God.

Here’s how it works: Your family will find your seat in church. After Mass begins Father will call the children up to the Altar and bless them before going to the San Antonio Room with their Catechist. They return to Mass during the Offertory. Children’s Liturgy does not take place on special occasions, holy days and holidays. If you have any questions or are interested in volunteering please contact Marie Baert in the Youth Office.
