While it has been 60 years since the opening of the Second Vatican Council (Vatican II), this pivotal moment in the history of the Church is often still viewed in a divisive manner. Most have never read the 4 primary texts of the Council, but many have made decisions with lasting impacts based on what they think the Council called for. The purpose of this Adult Ed series is to provide background for the Second Vatican Council as well as to read the four Constitutions of Vatican II. After the introductory sessions, there will be an opportunity to discuss the selected reading in a small group setting.
Participants are expected to have read the assigned paragraphs prior to each session. The same class will be taught on Monday mornings and Thursday evenings in St. Jude Celebration Hall.
