St. Therese Rosary Making Guild Rosary making for our overseas missions is our main objective. Cord rosaries for the military is also another of our goals. Lessons and good company come with this exciting ministry. We meet every 2nd and 4th Monday in the Community Center from 1:30-3:00pm. You can get a kit and do this exclusively at home, or come to the bi-monthly meetings for fellowship and lessons on new ways to make rosaries. We can never have enough rosaries as the requests are constantly increasing from around the world. Thank you letters have come from 99 nations world-wide. For lessons, information or kits, call Pat Greenfield. We Made: 188,943 rosaries for missionaries in 109 countries world-wide and for military personnel going overseas, and prisoners, hospitals, juvenile facilities, migrant workers, first communicants, and nursing homes in the United States and anyone who asks us for rosaries. We Supply: Free mission bead rosaries to any group who requests them for local nursing homes, hospitals, special occasions like first communicants, RCIA, and others who need them. We provide How to Say the Rosary sheets in the brochure holders in the Narthex in the church and in Our Lady’s Chapel. We leave a few rosaries in the Marian Chapel and the Adoration Chapel for those who forget their rosary to use. We make Pro- life rosaries, Chastity rosaries, World Mission rosaries with prayer sheets and distribute them free to the members of the parish. We Collect: Broken rosaries and old necklaces for beads to make new Rosaries. Please leave them in the Working Sacristy in the box marked St. Therese Rosary Makers. We Repair: Rosaries free of charge. If parts are needed we can usually find a match. A cherished family rosary can nearly always be salvaged. You pay only for needed parts. We Make: Special order Rosaries, key chain rosaries, rosary bracelets, cord rosaries of many colors, single decade rosaries for your pockets. Special order rosaries can be made from any precious metal and beads of your choice. The cost: parts and a small donation for rosary materials for more mission rosary materials. These are available at the Craft Sale and the Garage Sale. Call Pat for gifts for birthdays, anniversaries, and other special occasion rosaries that you wish made. We Receive: Thanks from all over the world. See the letters in our scrap books at our sales. We Need: YOU to come and learn how to make rosaries so we can meet the demand. Kay Field’s 101st birthday with the Rosary Group Kay was a founding member and began to make rosaries when she was 85 years old. She took “private” lessons and when she got the hang of it she made hundreds and hundreds of them to mail overseas. She continued making them until she had a stroke in her 90’s and could not do it anymore. Here are some photos of the celebration of her birthday!
